Sending Email & SMS Reminders

This guide will outline how to enable 1stAvailable's Email & SMS reminders.  Once enabled, you can elect if you want SMS notifications to be sent to your patients, your Practice, or both. 

1.Navigate to our website www.1stavailable.com.au and click 'Log-In'.

2. On the My Practice, click on 'Action' and then 'Email & SMS Reminders', as shown below.

3. On this page, you can Enable/Disable SMS reminders for Patients, as shown below.

4. If you do not have sufficient SMS credits, click 'Buy more SMS credits now' to purchase credits, as shown below.

5. Enter the desired credits and click 'Purchase', as shown below.

 6. Once you click purchase, an invoice will be sent to you registered email address, as shown below.

7. The Email & SMS reminders functionality also allows the practice to send appointment reminder emails at a predefined time interval before the appointment. Click Save once complete, as shown below.

8. The patient will receive an SMS on their registered mobile number, as shown below.

9. To enable SMS reminders for the practice, navigate to the My Practice, click on 'Action' and then 'Edit', as shown below.

 

10. In the 'Edit Practice Details' screen scroll down to the 'Mobile for SMS appointment notifications' field and enter the number(s) you would like all appointment SMS notifications to go to.  You can enter as many mobile numbers as you like, however 1 credit will be charged per SMS.

 11. Once you have entered your desired mobile numbers, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click 'Save'.

 12. You can also enable SMS reminders at a practitioner level, as shown below.

12.1  As a Practitioner you can also elect a mobile number to recieve SMS notifications for your appointments only.

12.2  From the 'My Practice' screen, scroll down to the 'Subscribers' list.

12.3  Hover over the 'Action' field next to the desired Practitioner and select 'Edit'

13. In the 'Edit Subscriber' screen scroll down to the 'Mobile for SMS appointment notifications' field and enter the number(s) you would like all appointment SMS notifications to go to.  You can enter as many mobile numbers as you like, however 1 credit will be charged per SMS.

 14. Once you have entered your desired mobile numbers, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click 'Save'.

 15. Below is a screenshot of what the SMS reminder looks like for a Practice or a Practitioner.

 

16. Your remaining SMS credit balance will be displayed at the bottom of the 'My Practice' screen.
